F.M. Barrera also writes poetry and illustrates in many mediums, incorporating many of these skills into his books and comic books. As a fine artist, Mr. Barrera has been showing his paintings and sculptures in galleries and state fairs, winning first and second place in several competitions. When not competing, he can be found talking to 6th graders in classrooms about his books and teaching art to willing adults.
